Welcome to Hailey. If you
are visiting our site for the first time you may like to know where our
village is located. We are two miles to the north of Witney in Oxfordshire,
England. The village is situated on the edge of the Cotswold hills, an
area of scenic beauty. Even though we are within touching distance of
the historic mill town of Witney, the village retains its rural feel.
Many of the houses were originally built in the 17th and 18th centuries
and remain almost unchanged since then. The local limestone was used to
build these properties and they remain attractive to the eye. The village
developed from a clearing in the forest of Wychwood, and this gave us
its name of Hay Lea.
This web site also includes nearby Crawley, New Yatt and
Whiteoak Green, which are part of the Church Parish.
